CapstanAG / Technical visualization and animation

CapstanAG product animation: making the mechanism clear.

Some products need more than a finished image. For CapstanAG, I used KeyShot and Premiere to create an explainer video that helped show how the product worked.

My role: CAD-based visualization and animation in KeyShot, with video editing in Premiere

Project status: Past animation work

The challenge: explaining what a product does

A finished product can hide the very details that make it interesting. Internal parts, movement, and the relationship between components are often difficult to explain through an exterior photograph.

For a technical audience, detail matters. For someone encountering the product for the first time, the sequence of the explanation matters just as much. The challenge is to make the mechanism understandable without asking the viewer to work through every detail at once.

My contribution: building a visual explanation

I created the CapstanAG explainer using KeyShot and Premiere. The work combined product visualization, animation, and video editing to present the product in a sequence a viewer could follow.

CAD-based imagery let me show relationships between parts and reveal details that would be difficult to capture with a camera. Animation added the dimension of time, helping the explanation move from one idea to the next. Editing brought those pieces together into the finished video.

It gave people a view of the product that an explanation alone couldn’t provide.

The result: a product story in motion

The deliverable was a visual explanation of the product, built to help people understand how it works. It brought technical detail into a format that could be watched and discussed.

This approach is useful when customers, sales teams, or colleagues need a clearer view of how something works. It can reveal an assembly sequence, show a hidden mechanism, or explain a feature while keeping the product itself at the center of the story.
